Our Firm advises elderly clients on a variety of legal matters including: asset protection planning; selection of appropriate geriatric care managers for services in the home or long-term care facilities; analysis of the legal and tax consequences of gifting assets to family members; and incapacity planning which includes the preparation of durable powers of attorney and advance medical directives. Our attorneys have trusted relationships with other practitioners in the community who can assist our clients with a Title XIX Medicaid Application if one ever becomes necessary. We work closely with those colleagues to ensure our clients receive the same care and attention through the Medicaid Application process as they have received from our Firm up to that point.
