Brittani has been an associate with Burnham, Capon & Wimer, LLC since 2018 and, to date, has focused her practice in the area of estate planning, predominately for high net-worth clients. Brittani works closely with financial planners to ensure that the titling of our clients’ assets, and their beneficiary designations, are consistent with the clients’ overall estate planning objectives. She is skilled at crafting Wills and Trusts that embody the clients’ wishes while achieving other objectives including, but not limited to, probate avoidance, estate tax minimization, and intergenerational transfers that are both tax effective and provide asset protection for descendants.

Brittani was integral to our Firm’s ability to swiftly update clients’ estate planning documents and beneficiary designations when the SECURE Act passed in December 2019. Since that time, she has developed a wide breadth of knowledge of the SECURE Act which allows her to guide clients concerning the disposition of their qualified assets. Brittani is also fundamental to the estate planning team’s organization and processes, as she oversees the trajectory of each file from the first meeting to the execution of the final documents.

Prior to joining our Firm, Brittani was an associate at a law firm in Hartford practicing in the area of personal injury litigation. Brittani lives in Colchester with her husband, Ian, their two children, Tristan and Sutton, and their live-in nanny (just kidding, Mimi!).
